Regional Development and Grant Specialist
Carol joined MMDC in January of 2024 as our new Regional Development & Grant Specialist. In this role, she works to connect our communities with the financial resources and expertise needed to support energy, environmental, and other important community projects. She comes with almost a decade of public service experience, having coordinated water resource, environmental education, and sustainability programs. Carol has a bachelor’s degree in environmental planning from the University of Minnesota and will soon complete her master’s degree in natural science and environmental education at Hamline University.
Originally from Richfield, Carol now enjoys a quieter life in Cologne, MN with her boyfriend, Brian, and their Catahoula Leopard Dog, Nahla. In her free time, Carol enjoys trail running, hiking, attending concerts, and spending time with family. A few fun facts about Carol: her dog Nahla is deaf, her favorite movie is Jurassic Park (the original), and one food she will never tire of is pizza.
