Regional Development and Grant Specialist
Carol joined MMDC in January 2024 as Regional Development & Grant Specialist. In this role, she connects communities with the financial resources and expertise needed to advance energy, environmental, and other critical local projects. She brings a decade of public service experience, including coordinating water resource initiatives, environmental education, and sustainability programs. Prior to her work in local government, Carol spent nine years at Fairview Health Services. She holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental planning from the University of Minnesota, along with certificates in project management and teaching English as a foreign language.
Outside of work, Carol loves getting her hands dirty in the garden, going for runs, and traveling to visit friends in other states. She especially enjoys spending time at home with her boyfriend, Brian, and their dog, Nahla.
