COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND PLANNING SERVICES

One of the primary missions of the Mid-Minnesota Development Commission is to provide the region’s local units of government with quality planning services and technical assistance.  Staff has assisted a number of communities and counties with comprehensive planning assistance, along with a large variety of other planning documents.  The Commission has been very active in assisting local water boards with a number of various planning and grant writing assistance. All four counties in the region have been assisted with such projects as hazardous mitigation plans and county water plans. MMDC’s past grant writing assistance has brought in over $30 million dollars to many needed projects throughout the region.
